Help assist curriculum and implementation of the Badger Rock Garden and Cooking class any day Tuesday-Friday from 1:30-2:30pm Badger Rock Middle School is a public charter project-based middle school with a focus on social justice, environmental sustainability, and urban agriculture. Students enrolled in the garden class engage with the 2-acre urban farm, which includes a greenhouse, hoop houses, honeybees and chickens, and our commercial kitchen where we prepare food every day using ingredients from our gardens and local farms. They learn and practice the whole process of growing food from seed to table, and include a diversity of food traditions in the dishes we make. Each class ends with a shared meal largely from garden ingredients if in season!
