F.H. King x SFUW

What is F.H. King?

F.H. King Students for Sustainable Agriculture is a student-run agricultural collective connected to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. They strive to connect land, food, and the Madison community, demonstrate alternative agricultural techniques and advocate for sustainability in the community. They welcome all UW students and Madison community members to get involved with F.H. King! They are also affiliated with CIAS.

The core of F.H. King is their half-acre organic farm in Eagle Heights. During the growing season, they give out their produce for free on Library Mall through their Harvest Handouts program. Outside of the growing season, F.H. King hosts educational programming, workshops, and community events.

F.H. King is run by a nonhierarchical board of student directors and is supported by a robust community of students. They endeavor to promote equity and justice in their actions and to be inclusive to folks of all identities.

Family Dinner Night: Farm-2-Table Partnership with F.H. King

As of Fall 2022, Slow Food UW has partnered with F.H. King Students for Sustainable Agriculture in a Farm-2-Table collaboration. F.H. King donates their extra handouts to SFUW for the Family Dinner Night meal. The goals of this partnership are to reduce food waste, utilize locally grown product, and facilitate community through student-run organization on campus. Join us Monday nights at FDN and have some of F.H. King’s incredible produce!
