Internship Description
The food justice director is a new position to the Slow Food UW team. This director’s position will work as an educator and advocate for just food systems within Slow Food UW, Madison, and national and international levels. The three main outlets will be related to policy, education, and survey making. The director will work to identify challenges in our processes and implement solutions to any barriers we have for allowing access for all people. The food justice director will also create transparency throughout our organization. This position will create semester sourcing reports of what is local, regional, and not local. They will also create feedback surveys that will be available at all of our meals. They will take the information gathered to acknowledge what Slow Food UW is doing well, and what we need to improve.
Hours and Commitment
Because this position is new, the time and responsibilities will be clarified throughout the semester.
