Due to COVID-19, many of our projects have had to come to pause, yet we wanted to ensure that we were still providing our community with clean, fresh and fair food and with that our To-Go Meal Project was born. Our To-Go Meal model follows the same steps as our Cafe minus the in person dining. Our staff works to source and create delicious take-out meals every other Wednesday for our community. Our suppliers have a broad network of local farmers and producers from whom they source ingredients. While our cooks work to transform those ingredients into delicious and beautiful bi-weekly meals.
Purchase: Our purchasing options will generally open 5-6 days before the day of the meal. To purchase simply follow this website and choose between the regular, Venmo and Pay-it-Forward options.
Pick-Up: Pick up will take place at The Crossing (1127 University Ave) every other Wednesday between 6:30-7:30pm. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing when you arrive for pick up.
The Meal: Each To-Go Meal will come with a main dish, 1-2 sides and a dessert all in a take-out container. Our meal items will change each time based on seasonality and locality. You can find the menu on our purchasing site, Instagram and Facebook for that week. Our meals are always vegetarian and will have Gluten Free and Vegan options available, although our kitchen is not certified Gluten Free.
Cost: Each week our full To-Go Meal will cost $7 with the option of our Pay-it-Forward Program which will cost $0.
Pay-it-Forward: Free meal(s) with no further questions. We do not want our prices to prevent you from being a part of our Slow Food community. If our prices are prohibitive, please use our Pay-it-Forward program. Customers make donations so that we can provide a meal to anyone free of charge. Simply just choose the Pay-it-Forward option at check-out.
